By focusing on technology leadership, community enrichment, and health and wellness, we aim to impact and enhance the quality of life of those in the communities in which we operate through volunteer work, funding, and mentorship.

FIRST® Robotics

An integral part of our company culture includes STEM education for youths in the community. Recognizing the important opportunities that FIRST® Robotics provides for young adults, we helped to establish teams at two inner-city Detroit schools: Mercy Education Project and Detroit International Academy for Young Women. They are now part of an incredible learning event that has grown to include 679,000 participants annually.

Greenlight Fund

In 2021, we committed to donate over 1 million dollars to the Greenlight Fund Detroit initiative, providing $250,00 annually over the next five years to help transform the lives of area children, youth and families in need. Through this initiative, we are helping to enhance local infrastructure, maintain essential social impact programs, and galvanize local support that promote the growth and long-term viability of deserving neighborhoods.

Family Center

Alongside construction of our Acuna, Mexico manufacturing facilities, we built the Gentherm Family Center in an effort to provide our valued employees services and amenities that improve the lives of themselves and their families.  This 2,000 square foot facility provides a caring and supportive environment which offers psychological, legal and medical services from accredited professionals.

House of Hope Orphanage

The House of Hope Orphanage was built with a considerable donation by Gentherm and the collaboration of two other manufacturers who do the majority of hiring in the Acuna, Mexico area. The 8,073-square-foot Casa de Esperanza improves the physical infrastructure, security and living conditions for approximately 55 children.
