From March 16–18, the Gentherm team had an incredible experience connecting with OEMs, fleet leaders, engineers and industry innovators who are shaping the future of trucking. Beyond the technology on display, the American Trucking Association’s Technology & Maintenance Council Transportation Technology Exhibition was an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas and gain a deeper understanding of the priorities driving today’s commercial trucking industry.
Many of the conversations throughout the show centered on fleet efficiency, uptime, safety and overall operational performance. Those priorities naturally connect back to the driver experience, where in-cabin technologies can play an important role in helping drivers stay focused, supported and comfortable during long hours on the road.
For Gentherm, ATA TMC reinforced how closely driver experience and fleet performance are connected—and how advanced thermal and wellness technologies can help support both.

How Gentherm supports today’s trucking trends

At ATA TMC, Gentherm showcased how coordinated in-cabin experiences can support both drivers and fleets through advanced heating, cooling, massage, lumbar support, wellness technologies like WellSense™ Alertness and Hands-On-Detection (HOD).
As Nathaniel Gur-Arie, R&D Engineer at Gentherm who attended ATA TMC, noted, these technologies help “support drivers in their overall comfort, their ability to stay focused and alert on the road as well as physical recovery from the intense everyday requirements of the job.”
For fleets, this creates a meaningful business impact as well, supporting safer driving conditions, improved driver satisfaction and stronger retention in a highly competitive industry.
Highlights from the show floor
One of the most memorable booth moments came from live seat demonstrations, where attendees consistently reacted to the massage feature with surprise and excitement. As Dusko Petrovski, Executive Director of Business Development, shared, it was the feature that stood out “by a mile.”
“Can I retrofit my seats with these Gentherm products?”
As one of the most frequent questions at the booth, it underscored a growing fleet priority: scalable solutions that can enhance existing vehicles while supporting driver comfort, focus and safety.

A fresh perspective on the future of trucking
From booth conversations to live technology demonstrations, it was clear that fleets and partners are looking for new ways to support alertness, driver efficiency, safety and overall well-being.
Beyond driver comfort, these technologies also create meaningful value for fleets. As Nathaniel shared, “fleet operators can take pride in knowing that with Gentherm’s technology within the vehicle cabin, not only will driver retention be improved, but their drivers will be safer on the road.”
We’re energized by the conversations and connections from ATA TMC 2026 and look forward to continuing to support the next generation of driver-centered innovation that keeps teams alert, focused and performing at their best.
