Astodia®
Diaphanoscopic for Transillumination
The Astodia diaphanoscopic makes it easy to find blood vessels for reliable placement in pediatrics, especially premature and newborn babies. It also enables the identification of air or liquid-filled structures deep below the skin’s surface.
The Astodia has two high powered LED lights with adjustable brightness. The orange light enables sharp contrast, while the red light increases the depth of penetration into the tissue. This can also be used for procedures when the handle is placed in a sterile cover.
